Advisory Committee
The Board is recruiting Advisory Committee members from the Princess Kahanu Estates community. Here is what the role involves and how to apply.
We are recruiting
The Princess Kahanu Estates Board of Directors is looking for applicants who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older and who are the spouse and/or adult child of a lessee living in the Princess Kahanu Estates community, to become potential Advisory Committee members.
What an Advisory Committee is
An Advisory Committee is a group that provides strategic advice and support to the Board of Directors of a homeowners association. That advice and support is informal and non-binding within our Declaration, Conditions, Covenants & Restrictions (DCCR).
An Advisory Committee does not carry legal responsibilities or decision-making authority within a homeowners' community. That is what gives the committee more flexibility in how it is structured and run than the Board of Directors itself has.
In short: the committee advises, the Board decides. It is a way to shape what happens in the community without taking on the legal duties of a director.
